Database administrator features

In addition to the functions described in Chapter "Company manager features",

there are functions that can only be carried out by the database administrator.

For information on the login credentials please refer to the Marginal note

"Database administrator".

Drop Database

You use this feature to remove a company’s TIS-Office database from the

computer completely. This database can then only be restored with a

previously saved backup copy.

To delete a database:

Important

It is highly recommended to save a backup copy of any database that is to be

deleted, converted or upgraded. You can save this backup file on an external

storage medium such as a DVD or ZIP drive.

To save a backup copy use the backup function described in Chapter "Backup

and Restore" on Page 10 .

Important

The default TIS-Office database cannot be deleted.

1 Start ToolBox 2 and enter the login data for the database administrator.

Please refer to the Marginal note "Access to TIS-Office ToolBox 2" on Page 3.

The Main Window For TISOffice DBA window will open.

2 Click on [Drop Database].

A dialogue box to select the database and to start the function will open.
